People have many things pent up inside of themselves. So many things they can never forget. Strange, isn’t it?

i love the weekenders a lot as a show tbh and carver is super wonderful. idk it was the kind of cartoon show where like everything was taken srsly in a kind of regular way (if that makes sense) and just yeah
I agree with you both! Never once it was made fun of Carver for his passion, the hilarity came from the expressive knowing looks that Tino, Lor and Tish shared as the scenes occurred over the course of the seasons, because it was obvious that they knew about Carver’s ‘secret’. The characters were plenty of personality quirks and idiosyncrasies, that was what made them lovable. I believe that the entire series revolved almost exclusively around a quote that Lor recited in one episode (she read it off TheraPizza’s menu, awesome): “…what is normal for one person may not be normal for another. Until you accept this, you’ll never be happy”. If you think about it, literally all the advices coming from Mrs.Tonitini’s mouth mainly focused on teaching his son not to be quick on judging people, and if one of the characters happened to do it, it was always portrayed negatively and they were allowed to learn by their mistakes. Yeah, I know, technically every Disney series is supposed to teach the value of diversity and all that jazz, but I am not sure that a preachy speech at the end of the episode can be considered an indication of how good a show is at that. It’s also in the details, and how you portray the characters. This is one of the shows embraced diversity fully and put its main focus on a friendship made of very different characters who only have in common a great sense of humor, and they felt like people because they all had quirks that added to their appeal.
