Going through all my old coding

… from when I was 14-17, and even though I liked to think I was mature at that age, I was really SUCH a teenage girl. My blogging had random “muahaha”s and song lyrics and boys, boys, boys everywhere. I sound excited and hyper in basically every post.

I was all about customizing stuff, too. Oh no, standard wasn’t good enough for me. My layout had to be different and if anyone else dared to base their design off of mine, it was a horrible offense. You could pick from like 4 different songs as you browsed through my ramblings, and the cursor changed when you hovered over a link, and I was a liberal image mapper and user of transparency within images.

But damn, could I design a good layout or what? Ha.

I tried my best! Hope you like it. I had to use a reference, though, because I can’t do anatomy and boxing and stuff. I also wanted to color it with real colors and shading, but I didn’t feel like cleaning up my sketch so yeah. Maybe I’ll redo this one day.

30 day ATLA challenge, day three

Favourite character: I’m pretty torn between Aang and Zuko for this one, but if pressed I’d have to pick Zuko. His story is just amazing— the development is substantial and is carried out so well. His internal struggle is fascinating and compelling (am I creepy yet?)… and his design is pretty sweet. I think his relationships with a lot of the characters are fleshed out extremely well. Favourites include bromance/ foil(?) with Aang, familial love with Iroh, rivalry with Azula, and of course the messed up father-son dynamic with Ozai. He’s so, so complex, but it’s still possible to empathize with him because you know where he’s coming from. Zuko is also painfully awkward, and this only endears me to him. He’s hilarious. Also, his firebending is badass (breakdancing? Yes, please!) as is his voice (Dante Basco, woo!). Yeah, I love Zuko.
